Pooja Mahesh
Pooja Mahesh is a graduate student at New York University, pursuing a Master of Science in Management of Technology, with a focus on innovation, product strategy, and data-driven decision-making. With a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering and a minor in Computer Science, Pooja brings a strong technical foundation to her current academic and industry pursuits. Her interdisciplinary training allows her to bridge engineering expertise with business acumen—enabling her to solve complex challenges at the intersection of technology, strategy, and innovation.
Before starting her graduate journey, Pooja spent over two years in the IT industry, notably at Kyndryl, where she worked as a full-stack developer specializing in application modernization and cloud-native solutions. She contributed to flagship platforms like Kyndryl Bridge and gained deep experience in Angular, Node.js, GoLang, and Kubernetes, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive product development. Currently, she is a Lead Intern at LexTrack AI, where she works on cutting-edge agentic AI systems, building real-time monitoring tools and scalable LLM pipelines to improve the reliability and performance of autonomous AI agents.
Pooja is passionate about building technology that impacts real-world systems. Her work has been published in IEEE Xplore, and her research interests lie in AI integration, intelligent systems, and smart automation. With a strong foundation in both software engineering and strategic management, she is actively seeking opportunities where she can contribute to transformative projects in the tech ecosystem, particularly in roles that blend software development, data science, and innovation strategy.

What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to a strong foundation in software development, which has shaped my problem-solving approach and attention to detail. Transitioning into product management allowed me to broaden my impact by combining technical expertise with strategic thinking and user-centered design. This blend has enabled me to deliver solutions that are not only innovative but also aligned with real-world needs.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest opportunities in tech today is increasing the representation of women in leadership roles. Diverse leadership not only drives innovation but also creates more inclusive work environments. We need more visible role models to inspire and empower the next generation of women technologists to lead with confidence and impact.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Creativity, curiosity, and authenticity are values I hold closely in both my work and personal life. I enjoy exploring new cultures, traveling, and singing—activities that continuously inspire fresh perspectives and fuel my innovative thinking. Bringing that same energy into my professional life helps me stay open-minded, adaptable, and driven to create meaningful impact.
