Her Interview

Ten minutes with Poorva

01What do you attribute your success to?

I owe my success and journey to the network of people including mentors, coworkers, colleagues, and team members across different geographies and industries. The teams I have been associated with and the wide variety of industries and geographies have shaped my journey.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Go with the flow but keep your head up and make good of the situation that you're in. I learned this early in my career during the great financial crisis of 2009 while at an investment bank when my director advised to steer whenever there is an opportunity in the right direction.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Go down to fundamentals and keep that very clear in their head. If you have strong fundamentals and strong foundation, then you will always have a strong base to hold onto and nothing will make you fall.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Biggest challenges are macro factors like geopolitical volatility, wars, and uncertainty that affect client priorities on inventory programs. Opportunities exist in streamlining complex global supply chains amid new tariffs and protection rules by offering integrated platforms that analyze financial benefits versus risks and demonstrate value through bottom-line impact.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Honesty, transparency, discipline, open communication, trust, and integrity are key. I like to be really honest with clients on what's in it for them, structure programs to maximize benefits, deliver what we promised, and communicate openly if unable to deliver.
