About Porshia
I am a nurse administrator and have been doing this for 10 years. I started as a certified nurse assistant in healthcare facilities like assisted living and nursing homes. Burnout from strenuous work motivated me to open my own business about 10 years ago, which has grown to a 7-figure company through word of mouth and online referrals. We provide coordination services and respite care for children with special needs and aged and disabled adults. I oversee licensing, policies, procedures, and daily operations.

01What do you attribute your success to?
A lot of legwork, research, learning new skills, not giving up, and faith. Putting in the work myself without mentors shaping my path.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Build a strong team and build a business where you can fire yourself so you are not doing everything and experiencing burnout.
