Her Interview

Ten minutes with Prajakta

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to self-awareness and self-acceptance. The day I really accepted myself and asked what my strengths are, that's when everything changed. I also credit the trust people had in me, my family who encouraged me, and many women mentors who showed me the path. Self-awareness, self-understanding, self-love, and self-acceptance are the foundation.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best advice I've received is to build a social presence - have an Instagram profile, update LinkedIn, create YouTube videos and content to reach more people and grow. People have pushed me to do this if I want to grow, and now I'm taking it seriously this year.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

It's a really great field that gives a lot of satisfaction. Be interested and love the field, love listening to people because listening is a very big skill. Be absolutely yourself - that brings positive energy to the work.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Challenges include too much information confusing people, different terminologies like coach vs therapist vs psychologist, and administrative hassles. Opportunities are huge because everyone is stressed, even children, and human connection is always precious and needed.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Be yourself and authenticity are most important. Accept yourself with all strengths and weaknesses. Integrity, honesty, and authenticity in self and work. If I don't know something, I'm upfront about my limitations.
