Precious Clouthier
Precious Clouthier is a Clarity & Performance Consultant, speaker, and author who has been doing this work informally for more than 20 years. Long before formally stepping into coaching and consulting, she was the person others naturally turned to for guidance, mediation, and practical advice. With over a decade of experience in sales and professional development, she built a strong foundation in communication, leadership, and performance. Four years ago, she officially became a certified life coach and consultant, following a clear sense of calling to formalize work she had already been doing throughout her life—supporting others in gaining clarity, making decisions, and moving forward with purpose.
Early in her formal coaching journey, she began working primarily with women entrepreneurs—many of them mothers balancing business ownership, careers, and family responsibilities. Drawing from her own lived experience as a wife, a mother of twin boys, and a professional managing multiple responsibilities, she helped clients strengthen time management, reduce burnout, and build clarity around priorities and strategy. Her approach focused on helping women operate more effectively without sacrificing their presence at home, creating sustainable systems that support both personal well-being and professional success.
This work naturally expanded into schools and organizations through Precious G.E.M.S LLC, where she addresses similar challenges in different environments. In schools, she supports students who are struggling with clarity, purpose, and direction—factors that often show up in attendance, behavior, and academic performance. In organizations, she helps leaders and teams address burnout, retention challenges, and misaligned priorities by strengthening clarity around roles, expectations, and execution. Across all her work, she takes a whole-person approach, focusing not only on professional performance but also on the personal clarity, mindset, and structure needed for sustainable success in every area of life.

What do you attribute your success to?
If I had to choose one achievement, I would say the impact is my biggest achievement. It's seeing individuals go from where they are to where they dreamed of and start working towards that. Taking someone from a place of confusion to clarity, from overwhelmed to actually feeling like themselves again. Watching individuals go from a place of confusion, a place of overwhelm, a place of burnt out, to a place of clarity, to a place of managing their time effectively, to a place of happiness again. That's what I would say is my biggest achievement. My godfather has been instrumental in my journey. I met him when I was 15 years old. My life growing up was not an easy life as both my parents struggled with substance abuse and my father wasn't really around as much. He came into my life and was really more of that father figure. He helped me stay positive, helped me walk through certain challenges I was going through. Him and his wife helped me purchase things I wasn't able to purchase, like wanting to go to prom but didn't have the money because I'm 15, working a job and paying my own bills. There was just that guidance that I needed. If I felt like giving up, if I felt like I wasn't worthy enough, they were able to just walk me through the journey and through the process, and really brought God into my life even more so, to really walk by faith. Almost 20 years later, he's still a part of my life. He says the mentor has to become the mentee, and now I mentor him. The table has turned a little bit, but he's still a big guidance in my life. He actually was the one that helped me start my entrepreneur journey when I started in sales. My mom, although she struggled with substance abuse and is now clean for over 18 years, was big on discipline, showing up, and making sure we went to school. Even though I was on my own at 15 because I was tired of living place to place, I still remember those morals and those things that she taught us. I could hear my mom in my head saying you get up and go to school and you be something with yourself. Those life experiences taught me that your past does not determine your future, and I always had in my mind that no matter what I've been through, I'm going to make sure my past does not determine my future and I'm going to do whatever it takes.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
If a young woman came to me looking for advice who wanted to go into coaching, I would always ask why. Why is that important for them? I need to understand why they want to do what they want to do. If their story is similar to mine, if they've always been that person that everyone would want to come up to and get advice from, I would ask them how would they see themselves. When you see yourself as a coach, what is your ultimate goal? Who are you looking to help? I'm a clarity coach, so I could tell people just go for it, but that's what everybody says. Instead, I walk them through the process of understanding why this is something you want to do. Once I understand the why, I can give better advice into, oh my goodness, this sounds great, so this is the first step you need to take. And the first step you need to take is write that down. Write it down. Then the next step you need to take is this. I have a lot of different coaches and consultants that come and want to work with me, and I just bring them through the whole process of getting them to understand why they want to do what they want to do, but then walk them through the process of the steps that they need to take next.
