Her Story

About Preeti

She is a dedicated health equity researcher and public health scientist with extensive expertise in aging, Alzheimer's disease, health disparities, and the application of artificial intelligence and machine learning to advance health equity. She has held research fellowships with the AIM-AHEAD Consortium, including the N3C NCATS COVID Enclave Data Training Program and the SCHARE research collaborative, and serves as a Research Mentor to funded trainees in the All of Us Research Program and to a research fellow using OCHIN data. She is a Research Affiliate at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health's HEADS Center and a Research Associate and Center Affiliate at the University of Chicago's NIA-funded P30 Center for Healthy Aging Behaviors. She has also served as Research Co-Lead for a NIMHD Science Collaborative project, mentoring a multidisciplinary team of data scientists, health communication researchers, and health equity scholars. Her academic appointments include Visiting Scholar and Visiting Associate Professor at Texas A&M University's Irma Lerma Rangel College of Pharmacy, where she contributed to teaching, research, mentoring, and scientific leadership. She holds a Certificate in Policy Analysis from the RAND School of Public Policy, where she was 1 of 16 competitively selected candidates for the Faculty Leaders Program in Policy Research, and has completed training in Formal Demography at UC Berkeley. She is recognized as a passionate, equity-driven, and highly accomplished researcher committed to improving health outcomes for underserved populations through rigorous science, mentorship, and collaborative leadership.
