I've been in the HR field for 20 years, though it wasn't my original plan - I have a master's in biotech from 2005 and fell into HR through training roles. I've had extensive global experience across Asia Pacific, EU, and the United States for the past decade, working primarily in tech and e-commerce companies. At DocuSign, I lead talent programs and work on pay-for-performance philosophy. My typical day involves designing processes and workflows, leveraging AI to automate and improve employee experiences, conducting research on employee and industry trends, and managing change across all organizational levels. A big part of my role is enabling managers with the right tools and technology, as they are the experience designers for employees. I see HR departments as product teams building conscious products for the future of business. Looking ahead, I see myself as someone trailblazing AI within the HR space, staying curious and paving the way for other professionals to use AI consciously and ethically. Beyond work, I'm passionate about music - I grew up learning from my mother and now I'm the female vocalist in a six-piece pop-rock band called Karma and the Six, where we perform Western rock and Bollywood music at live shows, restaurants, and private events throughout the Bay Area.
