Her Story

About Priscila

I started doing research at the university, linked with the students in the beginning. When I finished my master's in exercise science, I was completely in with the researchers, and I started my doctorate program in Exercise Science and psychology. I did half of my PhD in Brazil and half here in America. I was an athlete when I was a kid, and growing as an athlete, I saw many things that bothered me. When I started to work as a trainer after my graduation, I could experience everything that I felt in the past is still happening with my clients. The body concerns are so huge, and people think they need to fit in some place, they need to achieve this ideal body, and this is so unfair because we are real. We need to understand the power of our body behind just the image. It's so important, especially with the young adults, to spread the word that your body is the most important thing that you have. You must take care of your body, not just do whatever you can to get any specific image. I'm also a CrossFit coach, and I love to go to the gym and have my exercise.

Ten minutes with Priscila

01What do you attribute your success to?

God first. He put me in places that I never thought to get before. But I am very driven to get my things. When I compromise with something, I put all of my effort on that thing. Faith and family take you far, and it takes a village as well. We need that support system along the way.

02What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

My word is grateful. Gratitude. I don't feel I have another goal in my life that inspires people to get their best version, no matter if it's on the relationship, no matter if it's with God, or if it's on their careers. I like to inspire people to look for their best version of themselves. Continue to strive to be the best you. That's all you can do, really, is to continue to be better than who you were yesterday.
