Ten minutes with Priscilla
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my drive, resilience, and determination to keep moving forward, even through challenges. I’m also grateful for the mentors who have encouraged and supported me along the way.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve received is to put myself out there, build meaningful connections with industry leaders, and demonstrate a strong work ethic and genuine drive for growth. Making my ambitions known and building a strong reputation can open doors to opportunities, even in rooms I haven’t entered yet.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Believe in yourself, stay focused, and pursue the life and career you want. Be willing to challenge boundaries, have difficult conversations, and remain relentless in advocating for yourself and others. Don’t be afraid to question outdated rules and push for the resources and opportunities women need to succeed.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenge is that, while resources exist, there is still significant work to be done. I see an opportunity to push boundaries, have difficult conversations, adapt to changing laws and regulations, and advocate relentlessly for greater resources and support, especially where access and rights vary by location.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that matter most to me are balance, growth, resilience, and making time for what keeps me grounded. I enjoy staying active at the gym and outdoors through hiking and kayaking, as well as traveling, dancing, exploring local restaurants, and discovering new coffee shops. I also value spending quality time with family and friends, while continuing to challenge myself professionally and make meaningful connections.
