Her Interview
Ten minutes with Priyanka
01What do you attribute your success to?
I feel like there is only one life so there are so many things that interest me. If I give myself the right nutrition, sleep, water, all the basic things, I can manage my energy to explore the possibilities. Some might stick and some might drop off which don't serve me but at the end of the day figuring out what's more out there to explore keeps me going. When I stumble on something and figure this is giving me joy and happiness I stick with it.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
If you get a great opportunity but you're not sure if you can do it, just take it up and then figure it out later. Don't limit yourself with your own self-doubt. Finding a mentor and a sponsor is the number one thing. Don't live in your bubble and once an opportunity comes by just take it up.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
You have to be good at what you do, deliver on promises, and always think about how to go one step ahead to add value to the company, team, manager, and peers. This could be as simple as connecting people or having coffee meetings. Earn visibility by adding value and going the extra mile, especially for women in the industry.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
AI is the biggest thing right now. The most important skill is judgment - read up, use AI, form self-opinions and hypothesis, constantly test and validate them. Don't take other people's opinions; get hands-on experience and test it out yourself because it is still in very early stages.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Resilience - there is nothing called this is it, you can always pick yourself up and keep finding new skills and strengths. Always keep learning because when you feel like you know everything your growth stops. Growth does not happen in your comfort zone so keep getting comfortable being uncomfortable and push yourself to that limit.
