About Priyanka
Priyanka Sharma serves as Senior Technical Account Manager at Amazon AWS, a role she has held since 2022. In this position, she works with high-growing U.S. customer accounts in the financial industry, assisting them with their cloud journeys, architecture optimization, cost management, and expansion using AWS cloud services and AI technologies. She began her career in 2005 after completing her master's degree from Cal State Harvard in 2003, initially working in software engineering roles at SAP until 2013, followed by the SAP Mobile Services team until 2015. From 2015 to 2022, she led customer-facing technical escalations and API management at TIPCO. Priyanka holds five AWS certifications, including Professional Architect, Solution Architect, and AI Associate. She has received a tech award for her contributions and presentation at the Amazon tech summit, as well as internal awesome awards. She is a member of the Women at Amazon group and volunteers with the FESCO organization, which provides homes to homeless individuals.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
With the tech growth, there's a lot of ambiguity and new things. The technology is growing so fast. One thing I would say is being comfortable in things that you don't know, and keeping your learning on, and growing in new areas. All those skills are transferable, so keeping that momentum on with the new technology, and the confidence is needed into this.
