About Priyanka
Priyanka Sharma serves as the Lead of the Databricks Center of Excellence at Vehicle Data Solutions. She has built her career in data engineering since 2011, focusing on Databricks for the last 8 to 10 years. Priyanka earned her BTEC in Engineering in India in 2013 and is a certified Databricks Champion. She works remotely while traveling to client locations both domestically and internationally. Priyanka values respect and equality, particularly as a woman in her field, and she actively advocates for these principles in every organization. She credits her success to consistency and never giving up, advice she now shares with young women entering the industry. Among the challenges she navigates is the rapid evolution of AI, helping customers understand its appropriate applications while staying current with new developments.

01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Don't give up. Consistency is the key. That's it.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Don't give up. The immediate consistency and then not giving up is something that helped me be where I'm today.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The constant evolution of AI is one of the biggest challenges. Challenge in terms of staying on top of what's getting released and launched every day. Making customers understand that AI is not the answer to everything.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Being a woman, one thing very important to me is respect around, giving respect, getting respect, and being treated equally. And I am a really good voice for that in any organization that I've worked for.
