Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I would attribute my success to my parents. They gave up a lot of things in their life to give me the life that I have currently. They have sacrificed a lot, so I think I would give it to my parents. They made it possible for me to pursue my dreams and achieve what I have today.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I've ever received is to not run behind roles. Instead, just keep upskilling yourself every day, and you will land that opportunity once you keep focusing on upskilling yourself and getting new experiences through the everyday activities that you do. So instead of running behind roles, just keep on working on yourself every day.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would say don't be afraid. Just keep moving, keep doing whatever you can every day. Don't be afraid to speak up, because there will be a lot of times in your life where you might be afraid to speak up, but you have to keep telling yourself that your opinions value too. So do not be afraid of speaking up. Be fearless and make sure your voice is heard.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

There are a lot of opportunities and challenges related to AI these past few months, because AI is the buzzword that everybody has been talking about for the past two years. A lot of opportunities are around AI and data, and these two are kind of interrelated, so they represent both the biggest challenges and opportunities in my field right now.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

One value that I work with every day is that I listen first. That's the most important value to me. I let other people finish their thoughts before I jump in and chime in my thoughts. Listening more is one of the biggest values for me. The second value I would say is to own it. Own what you're doing and be accountable for what you have been doing, what you are trying. Everything in life is based on accountability and owning it. So these would be the two values that I run by.
