About Purnima
Purnima Rathore serves as Head of new products and innovation at a nonprofit organization in the United States. In this role, she oversees product marketing and development for programs that empower women entrepreneurs, building on her prior experience at the intersection of product and marketing. She earned an MBA in hospital and healthcare management and launched her career as a business analyst at a healthcare ID firm before transitioning into product marketing within B2B healthcare, a niche industry. After three years, she moved to Indian manufacturing as a marketing manager for a procurement startup, where she spent five years. Recently relocating to the US following her marriage, she joined her current nonprofit six months ago initially as a pod manager. Purnima has also contributed to community efforts by working full time with the Lee Foundation in India to educate and empower women at the grassroots level and by volunteering with a US nonprofit dedicated to supporting women entrepreneurs.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
The only advice I would give to any young women out there is to always ask questions, always ask for more things. You might get no in the first 5 or 6 asks but even if you get one yes you're good. Always tell women to ask for everything. Never stop learning. Put a lot of effort into it, take courses on your own. Be 100% prepared for what you are asking. Hone your skills.
