I have been working in the optical networks field for about 8 years, currently at Nokia. What inspired me to work in this field was the challenge of being in technical depth of everything, having a good grip on hardware as well as software. On my day-to-day, I get to learn a lot of photonic hardware development and also equally a lot of software development. With AI, there is a lot of demand for optical transmitters in data centers, so it's a very booming field and I'm working with a lot of amazing people. Before Nokia, I was with a company called CTDI, where they repair and test different types of RF, consumer electronics and optical products. I was involved right from building the groundwork of a new project, so I've had an end-to-end execution level of the project.
