Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to my mentor, Kayla Bagnato, a BCBA/LBA, who took me under her wing and encouraged me to grow beyond what I believed was possible. Staying humble, remaining teachable, and showing up with consistency have been the foundational principles that have allowed me to advance quickly in my field.

I entered the ABA field six years ago after discovering my passion for helping children with autism communicate, learn, and experience meaningful breakthroughs. I began my career as an RBT, and because I felt deeply called to this work, I quickly progressed into higher-level leadership roles across Maryland and Virginia. Over the years, I have developed expertise in applied behavioral analysis, clinic operations, and leadership development, cultivated through direct client work and progressive management responsibilities.

I excel in creating structured treatment programs, training RBTs, and ensuring that every child and family receives consistent, high-quality behavioral support. One of my proudest achievements has been becoming the lead trainer for two regions within just six years, while also helping to open and structure a new clinic from the ground up. Being part of shaping that center—its systems, team culture, client processes, and daily operations—remains the accomplishment I am most proud of.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received came from my mentor, Kayla, who taught me how to lead with confidence while serving families with heart. She encouraged me to stay open to opportunities that don’t look like what you expected, and that guidance has pushed me to explore leadership, clinic operations, and, soon, nonprofit development.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering this field is to believe in the impact you can make, even when starting at the entry level. Every RBT, trainer, and supervisor plays a direct role in shaping a child’s future. I also encourage young women to speak up, stay curious, ask questions, and never underestimate how far passion and persistence can take them.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

I believe one of the biggest challenges in ABA is expanding outreach and ensuring that families know where to find help, particularly those who feel overwhelmed navigating services for the first time. At the same time, I see major opportunities in building stronger community partnerships, enhancing the quality of training, and supporting the next generation of RBTs and BCBAs.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that guide me in both my work and personal life are integrity, compassion, community, and accountability. I strive to treat families with respect, support my team with patience, and ensure that all of my work reflects empathy and excellence.

Outside of work, I enjoy crafting, sewing, assembling puzzles, and creating custom canvas portraits as a creative outlet. I’m also a proud dog mom to my one-year-old Shih Tzu and love spending my downtime relaxing, being creative, and caring for my pup.
