Her Interview
Ten minutes with Quiana
01What do you attribute your success to?
My family gives me the push to keep going forward and to have that integrity. Family values help me keep believing in myself. My core values and the push that I get from my family definitely put me in the position that I am today.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Please believe in yourself and be your biggest cheerleader. What will test you the most is yourself. You may not have it figured out, but once you become your biggest cheerleader and have that grace for yourself, you will knock down doors that you wouldn't even expect.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The challenges is being a woman in the rooms with different execs that don't see your quality. You have to do a little bit more than your counterparts and come at a different angle to let them see your quality and that you are worthy of being in the room with them. Your road to success may not look like theirs but my role led me here and I make sure that I'm rememberable.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Integrity is important. Building connections you have to have the integrity. People believe you. I need to give you my authentic self. In my home life as well, just being authentic, truly Kiana Walker. I'm very innovative. I love thinking of new ways of how can I problem-solve this a different way to where it's a little bit easier. To work smarter, not harder.
