Rachael Dalton
Rachael Dalton is the Senior Director of Administration at KRE Security, LLC, where she oversees day-to-day operations across multiple departments for a field workforce of approximately 400 employees. Certified as an ACT 235 Security Specialist, Rachael manages scheduling, staffing, HR functions including hiring, onboarding, and payroll, as well as general operational oversight. Known for her hands-on approach, she keeps "the wheels moving" with an emphasis on organization, attention to detail, and adaptive problem-solving.
With a career in administration spanning over 25 years, Rachael has developed extensive expertise across healthcare, insurance, long-term care, and in-home care sectors. She has held roles ranging from recruiter and hiring manager to operations manager and director of administration. Her professional philosophy centers on flexibility, continuous learning, and delivering high-quality operational results, reflecting both her formal education and decades of on-the-job experience.
Rachael began her academic journey with coursework in drafting, interior design, and liberal arts at community college, supplementing her studies with hands-on professional learning. Beyond her work, she is active in local women’s networking groups, including events hosted by the Greater Reading Chamber Alliance and its Women to Women network, where she engages with peers and supports professional development for women in her community.

What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to hard work, dedication, and a genuine passion for my role. I am fortunate to have built a career where I feel energized every day and never have to “work” in the traditional sense. A key part of my approach is ensuring the organization continues to move forward smoothly—I oversee a team of 400, making certain they have the resources, guidance, and support needed to operate efficiently and effectively. This includes strategic scheduling, as well as contributing to hiring and onboarding.
I believe my success also stems from the practical experience I’ve gained on the job, coupled with strong organizational skills and attention to detail—qualities I’ve honed in part through homeschooling my children. These skills allow me to manage complex operations while keeping a clear focus on both the big picture and the small, critical details.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I ever received came from a teacher who told me, “If you find a career you love, you'll never work a day in your life.” This advice has stayed with me and shaped the way I approach my work. It reminded me early on that passion and purpose are just as important as skill and experience, and it inspired me to pursue a career where I feel motivated, challenged, and fulfilled every day.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women is that you can have a fulfilling career and a balanced life. Keep learning, embrace real-world experience, and prioritize networking with other women to grow your skills and opportunities.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in my field right now is managing staffing and logistics for a large, field-based workforce, especially as the sector has been reshaped since COVID. At the same time, this presents a significant opportunity to develop leadership skills and advance my career as I work toward my next promotion.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me are organization, attention to detail, continuous learning, and a strong work ethic. I also deeply value family—having had the opportunity to homeschool my children when they were young has shaped how I balance personal and professional life. Now that they are grown, I am fully focused on growing and flourishing in my career while staying true to these core values.
