Ten minutes with Rachel
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my determination and persistence. I can be stubborn when I set my mind to something, and that determination has helped me push through challenges and continue moving forward. I also want to show my three children that when you commit yourself to something and work toward it, you can achieve your goals.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I have received is simply to be honest. Honesty creates trust, strengthens professional relationships, and gives you a solid foundation from which to grow.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women is to find a good mentor and surround yourself with successful women who have experience in the field. I also encourage women to look beyond companies that simply say they are a “family.” Find an organization that actually demonstrates that commitment through its actions, culture, and the way it supports its employees.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenge in my industry right now is the economy. Many people are struggling financially, and those economic pressures affect both customers and businesses. Navigating this environment requires understanding, adaptability, and a strong commitment to helping customers while managing the realities of the industry.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that are most important to me are honesty, accountability, the ability to listen, and being coachable. I believe it is important to take responsibility for my actions, remain open to feedback, and be willing to learn from others. These values guide the way I approach both my work and my personal life.
