Rachel Barrientos

Rachel Barrientos has spent 18 years working in finance, most of her professional career. She currently serves as a Lead Financial Data Analyst and Financial Business Analyst at Cinemats Media, a subsidiary of Microsoft. In this role, Barrientos oversees the processing of financial data and prepares a wide range of records for corporate finance reporting. She also focuses on business efficiency, including monitoring sales performance for a platform of players and capitalizing on monetization opportunities for video game products. These products include not only full game sales but also in-game items such as digital currency, subscriptions, one-time purchases, DLC, and promotional components. Her reporting supports both the monthly corporate finance cycle and daily performance estimates, including historical data for projections and financial planning and analysis needs. Barrientos draws on multiple data sources to measure performance and shares metrics with stakeholders across finance, sales, and marketing. Her education includes studies in computer science with subjects in economy and finance engineering, followed by a master's degree in finance from Johns Hopkins in the Washington, D.C. area. Outside of her role, she is involved in investing through a group associated with an entrepreneurship and investing company.
