Her Interview
Ten minutes with Rachel
01What do you attribute your success to?
My son, DJ, is my greatest motivation and my reason for everything I do. He inspires me to keep showing up, work hard, and continue pushing forward, even on the days that feel challenging. Knowing that he is watching me grow, overcome obstacles, and build a life for us reminds me why I never give up.
Everything I do is with him in mind. He motivates me to be the best version of myself and to create opportunities that will positively impact his future. My goal is to lead by example and show him the importance of resilience, dedication, and believing in yourself.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve received is to stay focused and learn how to adapt quickly. In an industry like real estate, things are constantly changing, and if you aren’t willing to adjust, learn, and evolve, you’ll quickly fall behind.
I’ve learned that every challenge is an opportunity to grow. It’s okay to have moments where things feel overwhelming, but when it’s time to show up, you have to be prepared, professional, and solution-oriented. Being able to stay composed, pivot when needed, and keep moving forward has been one of the most valuable lessons in my career.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Stay true to yourself and never underestimate what you bring to the table. Confidence is something you build over time, but it is important to remember that you belong in every room you work hard to enter.
There will be moments when you have to prove yourself, but don’t let anyone make you feel too small to take up space. Trust your abilities, stay open to learning, and keep a positive mindset. The way you approach challenges can shape the opportunities that come your way.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in real estate right now is the speed at which the industry continues to change. Technology, artificial intelligence, shifting consumer expectations, and increased competition have changed the way properties are marketed and how clients expect to be supported. The challenge is not just keeping up with those changes, but knowing how to use them strategically while still maintaining the personal connection that makes real estate a relationship-driven industry.
I also see this as one of the biggest opportunities. The professionals and teams who are willing to adapt, embrace new tools, and continue finding creative ways to serve their clients will have the ability to stand out. From a marketing and operations perspective, I believe there is a huge opportunity to create more efficient processes, deliver stronger property exposure, and provide agents and clients with a more seamless experience.
Ultimately, the future of real estate will belong to those who can balance innovation with authenticity and using technology to enhance relationships, not replace them.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Family is one of the most important values in my life and influences the way I approach both my personal and professional relationships. Loyalty, compassion, and balance are values I strive to carry with me every day.
As a full-time mom and career woman, finding a healthy work-life balance has taught me the importance of being present, intentional, and making the most of every opportunity. In real estate, compassion and understanding are especially important because behind every transaction are real people, families, and meaningful life moments.
I believe success is not just measured by accomplishments, but by the relationships you build, the trust you earn, and the positive impact you have on the people around you.
