About Rachel
I graduated from Carnegie Mellon University in summer 2020 with a degree in finance, and I've been working in wealth management for almost 6 years now. I recently joined Wealthspire as a Senior Advisor Associate, where my background in financial planning and investment strategy allows me to help high net worth families and family office size families make confident, informed decisions in financial moments that can feel really complex or overwhelming. I handle the day-to-day servicing for my clients, including portfolio management and different financial planning analyses covering tax planning, insurance planning, and estate planning. I help make recommendations for drafting trusts or investing windfalls, proceeds from property transactions, or compensation they're getting. Basically, anything that really has to deal with any sort of financial-related topic in their life, we're kind of taking the lead on it, just quarterbacking the finances for their whole family. I work with Frank Marzano, one of Barron's top financial advisors who was ranked number 6 best financial advisor in the entire state this year. What I love most about this work is being able to make a real impact with families during stressful situations. I had a client at one of my last firms who was born in Northern Ireland and moved to the U.S., spending the last 40 years here. When her father in Ireland was diagnosed with dementia, she wanted to move back home but wasn't sure if she could afford to quit her job and move her entire life over there. Those are the situations where when you're able to help somebody reach those kinds of goals and make those kinds of decisions, that makes you feel really good. Moving up to this senior position and getting in with such a great team has made me feel like I'm moving in the right direction, and I'm becoming more confident making recommendations and speaking in rooms where they're primarily older, more experienced professionals in this male-dominated field, since women still make up less than a quarter of financial advisors.
