Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute much of my success to being immersed in aviation from a young age. Earning my private pilot’s license in high school and watching my dads’ enthusiasm for flying his small plane inspired a lifelong passion that continues to drive my career in this industry.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering aviation is this: you absolutely belong in this industry, and you can become pilots, leaders, and innovators too. I’m committed to helping pave the way for more women to shine and lead the future of aviation.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in aviation is navigating constant change—providing excellent customer service while staying safe and compliant with FAA regulations, and finding the right technology to make every process as efficient as possible.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Important values to me are compassion and giving back. In August of last year, one of my older sisters was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. Anticipating the effects of chemotherapy, I started knitting and crocheting hats for her. This effort expanded into producing over 400 hats to sell and donate, with a portion of the proceeds helping cover her medical and home care costs.
