Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to growing up immersed in aviation—earning my pilot’s license in high school and being inspired by my parents’ love of flying with their small plane fueled my lifelong passion for this industry.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering aviation is that you absolutely can be part of this industry and become pilots too, and I strive to pave the way for other women to shine as leaders in aviation.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in aviation is working in a male-dominated industry, where I’ve had to continuously prove myself—but overcoming these challenges has also created opportunities to lead and inspire others.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The most important values to me are compassion and giving back—on my own time, I crochet hats for my sister, who is battling stage 3 breast cancer, and use the proceeds to help cover her medical and home care needs.
