Her Story

About Rachel

Rachel Husberg is a professional coach and consultant located in Utah. She began her career in finance operations within the tech industry, where she spent approximately 15 years helping scale a startup through acquisition, an IPO, and the integration of multiple businesses. After 11 or 12 years in that field, she pivoted to coaching, earning certification as a professional coach through IPEC and ACC certification through the ICF. She is also a member of the International Coaching Federation. Rachel's main area of expertise is helping couples design intentional partnerships in which both partners maintain careers and leisure time while equally contributing to caregiving and household labor. She supports clients by facilitating the unlearning of gendered roles at home and implementing practical household operations systems. In addition to one-on-one coaching and group workshops, she collaborates with therapists on training programs and maintains contract work in leadership development and executive coaching. Rachel attributes her success to consistently committing time to building her business while balancing other responsibilities, and she advises others to pursue changes by running toward positive goals rather than away from dissatisfaction.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Rachel

01What do you attribute your success to?

Committing time to building my business and protecting that time, even while balancing other employment and family responsibilities. I've been doing this work for about 3 years, and success comes from proactively making connections and creating assets rather than just relying on referrals.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Identify whether choices are made from fear or because it feels like the right thing to do. Figure out what you want to run toward rather than just running away from something unhappy. Once you have direction toward something positive, you gain confidence even if the path isn't easy.

03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The challenge is that people are reluctant to admit they need help with dividing household labor fairly, similar to admitting a need for therapy. It's uncomfortable to acknowledge that current arrangements may not be equal, making it harder to find clients willing to seek implementation help compared to problems people readily admit.
