Her Story
About Rachel
Rachel Huyssteen began her career in accounting in 2010 after completing her studies in Business Management. She currently works as a Financial Controller for a multi-entity organization, managing three entities and focusing on financial reporting, budgeting, and process improvement initiatives. In this role, which she began on June 1st, she applies expertise gained from prior positions in manufacturing, including time at AIGCO in Minnesota, where she incorporated Six Sigma, lean improvement practices, and Kaizen methods. Over the past year, Huyssteen launched her own business advisory company, through which she helps small business owners with setup, audits, payroll, reconciliations, financial reporting, and process organization. Her comprehensive knowledge stems from experience in both Nevada and Minnesota, enabling her to guide clients through state filings and tax matters.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
It's never too late to start your own business. You shouldn't be afraid to ask for help because you're not going to be an expert in every field. Asking for help can give you a more expedited path.
