Rachel Medrano

I am an educational leader and instructional technology specialist with nearly a decade of experience in K-12 education, currently serving as Assistant Director of Academic Services at Robstown Independent School District, a role I have held since August 2025. In this position, I help oversee Federal and State Programs, Instructional Technology for the district, and support the PEIMS department with various coding responsibilities, while also serving on the Teacher Incentive Allotment administrative team. Prior to this promotion, I served as Coordinator of Instructional Technology for over three years, Assistant Principal at the Junior High School for nearly one year, and Instructional Technology Specialist for three years, all within Robstown ISD.

Before joining Robstown ISD, I spent five years as a Classroom Teacher at Banquete ISD, where I developed my foundation in curriculum delivery, classroom management, and student engagement that continues to inform my leadership today.

I hold a Doctor of Education in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis on Educational Technology from the University of Florida, which I completed in August 2025, as well as a Master of Education in Educational and Instructional Technology from Sam Houston State University.

Across my career in educational leadership, instructional technology, and classroom teaching, my work has been driven by a commitment to leveraging technology and innovative instructional practices to improve student outcomes and support educators. Whether I am leading district-wide academic initiatives, coaching teachers on technology integration, or serving as an instructional leader on a campus, I am passionate about creating learning environments where both students and educators can thrive.
