Ten minutes with Rachel
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success first and foremost to my faith, which has provided me with guidance, strength, and purpose throughout my journey. I am also grateful for the mentors who have invested in me, shared their wisdom, and helped me grow both personally and professionally. Their support taught me the importance of continuous learning, building others up, and creating a lasting impact by pouring into those around me. I believe true success comes not only from personal achievement but also from the ability to inspire, support, and empower others.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would encourage young women entering my industry to lead with confidence, knowing that their purpose and abilities are rooted in the calling and gifts God has given them. Believe in yourself, trust your journey, and recognize the value you bring to the table. Surround yourself with like-minded individuals who encourage growth, provide support, and inspire you to become your best self. While it is important to learn from others, remember that the most powerful voice you should listen to is your own trust your instincts, embrace your strengths, and confidently pursue your goals.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges and opportunities in my field right now is redefining what people believe ministry can and should be. There is a growing need to create spaces where individuals feel a true sense of belonging, especially those who have experienced church hurt or disappointment. I believe we have an opportunity to rebuild trust, restore faith, and address the trauma that has often been overlooked or left unspoken within church communities. By fostering transparency, compassion, and genuine connection, we can create environments where people feel seen, valued, and supported on their spiritual journeys.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that are most important to me in both my work and personal life are integrity, compassion, and openness. I believe integrity is the foundation of building trust and creating meaningful relationships. Compassion allows me to serve others with empathy, understanding, and genuine care. I also value being open-minded and meeting people where they are, recognizing that everyone has their own experiences, challenges, and perspectives. These values guide how I connect with others, lead with purpose, and create spaces where people feel respected, heard, and valued.
