Her Story

About Rachel

Rachel Wooten is a healthcare and wellness professional with a career spanning nursing, pain management, medical device consulting, patient education, and holistic wellness. She began her healthcare career as a Licensed Practical Nurse in 2011 after completing her nursing training at Northwest Mississippi Community College. Her early work included pre-operative and procedure nursing in pain management, where she developed a strong interest in patient education and wellness. She later transitioned into the medical device field, spending several years as a Therapy Consultant with Nevro and subsequently serving as a Senior Clinical Specialist with Saluda Medical.

Rachel's professional evolution has increasingly focused on holistic nutrition, metabolic health, and natural wellness. She currently works as a Sales Distribution Consultant with Metabolic Solutions, supporting metabolic-health and wellness solutions, and as a Sales Representative with The Pink Berets, an organization focused on comprehensive care for veterans. She is also pursuing holistic nutrition and wellness culinary studies, with completion expected in February 2027. Her diverse healthcare background gives her a perspective that combines clinical experience, medical technology, education, sales, and lifestyle-based approaches to health.

Rachel is motivated by her children, a desire to create positive change, and a belief that mental and physical health are foundational to a fulfilling life. She encourages women to continually expand their knowledge, stand confidently in their abilities, and never allow others to diminish their value. Her philosophy emphasizes positivity, resilience, integrity, kindness, and doing what is right even when it is difficult. Beyond her professional work, Rachel supports veterans through volunteer involvement with the Memphis VA and related mental-health and substance-abuse initiatives. She enjoys cooking, reading, painting, exercising, meditation, traveling, and spending time outdoors with her family, reflecting her broader commitment to wellness as a combination of nutrition, physical activity, mental health, creativity, and meaningful relationships.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Rachel

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to my children and my desire to be there for them while creating a meaningful life and making a positive change. They have motivated me to keep moving forward, speak up when something needs to change, and continue pursuing opportunities that can make a difference for both my family and others.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I have received is to stay positive and pay attention to my thoughts. I believe that the energy and mindset I put into the world influence what I attract back into my life. Maintaining positive thoughts helps me approach challenges with a healthier perspective and continue moving forward.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women is to learn as much as they can because knowledge is power. Never allow someone in a position of authority to make you feel small or diminish your value. Be a good person, do the right thing, remain committed to your principles, and never give up when you face obstacles.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges I experience is getting people to believe in new approaches and getting nurses and doctors on board when I am advocating for changes that could benefit their patients. Introducing different ways of thinking about health and wellness can take time, particularly when it requires healthcare professionals to reconsider established approaches.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Mental and physical health are extremely important to me because I believe that without your health, everything else becomes less meaningful. My family and children are also central to my life, and being there for them is one of my highest priorities. I believe strongly in karma and in doing the right thing. I try to lead with kindness and integrity because I believe that the good we put into the world ultimately comes back to us.
