My typical day involves graphic design work where I create posts with images and information for my clients and post them to social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn. I curate captions and hashtags, share to relevant groups, and boost posts when needed. I also help ensure all my clients' websites are in good condition and that their SEO is doing well. For one site I manage, I handle the database of members and make sure all the member profiles show up correctly. When someone needs a new website, I build one for them using Wix as my primary platform for their domains and website landing pages. I handle anything administrative too, creating invoices for my clients, spreadsheets, printable items, labels, and coordinating printing through companies like Vistaprint and Banners. I work with a client in the Bay Area who is a realtor, and I post her property tour videos on YouTube. I recently updated her resume to make sure it's AI scrapable so that AI can get the information it needs to put her in front of people. After I created her resume, they were so impressed that they put me back on writing her blogs again to make sure they're AI scrapable as well. I enjoy my work a lot - it's fun and fast-paced.

What do you attribute your success to?
Growing up on a Montana ranch, I learned that your word is your bond and hard work is just the baseline. My time in the Army taught me to focus that work ethic into a disciplined mission, and raising my daughter taught me how to stay patient and pivot when things get unpredictable. I’m a value-driven worker who believes in showing up, getting the job done right, and treating every project with the care it deserves.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best advice I’ve received is: “Under promise and over deliver.” It’s a principle I rely on daily, and it’s been key to building strong relationships and a reputation rooted in trust.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Don’t wait until you feel “ready.” Start where you are, stay curious, and trust that you’ll figure things out as you go. Focus on delivering real value, building relationships, and being someone people can rely on, those things will take you further than perfection ever will.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenge right now is how fast the industry is evolving—especially with AI making it easier for anyone to build a website. The downside is that a lot of sites are starting to feel generic.
The opportunity is in standing out. The businesses that win are the ones that combine technology with strategy, creativity, and a human touch to create something people actually connect with. It also takes real foundational experience to create and maintain truly effective client-facing sites—understanding not just how to build something that looks good, but how to structure it for usability, performance, messaging, and long-term growth.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
I grew up in a ranching community in Montana, served in the Army, and raised my daughter, so those values are woven into who I am. I believe your word should mean something, work should be done right the first time, and people should be treated with respect.
In my work, that means being dependable, detail-oriented, and taking ownership of whatever is in front of me. In my personal life, it means showing up for my family, helping where I can, and staying grounded in what matters.
