Her Interview
Ten minutes with Rain-Ie
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to faith, resilience, and the lessons life has taught me through motherhood. Building a business with my sons showed me the power of hard work, unity, and purpose. Even through loss and adversity, I’ve learned to keep moving forward, turning pain into motivation and challenges into opportunities. My strength comes from my family, my belief in legacy, and my commitment to creating something meaningful that honors where I come from and who I’m becoming.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received was to show up as myself and stay consistent, even when the path gets hard. I was taught that discipline will take you places motivation can’t, and that integrity will open doors long before opportunity arrives. That wisdom has carried me through motherhood, entrepreneurship, and every challenge in between — reminding me that success comes from staying true to who you are while refusing to quit on what you’re building.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is to stand firm in who you are and never shrink yourself to fit anyone’s expectations. This work takes grit, confidence, and consistency — but it also rewards integrity and heart. Don’t be afraid to take up space, ask questions, and learn as you go. Your strength is not in matching the men around you, but in bringing your own perspective, resilience, and purpose to the table And remember: every challenge you overcome becomes part of the legacy you’re building.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in the hauling and property‑services industry is standing out in a space that’s often dominated by larger companies and male‑led crews. It takes consistency, professionalism, and a strong reputation to earn trust — especially as a woman building her own lane. But that challenge is also the biggest opportunity. People want reliable, honest service, and they value businesses that operate with integrity and heart. There is huge room for growth in areas like power washing, eco‑friendly disposal, and personalized customer care. For me, the opportunity lies in expanding my services while showing other women that they can thrive in this field by bringing their own strength, perspective, and purpose to the work.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that matter most to me are integrity, resilience, and compassion. I believe in doing honest work, treating people with respect, and showing up fully — even when life gets heavy. My journey as a mother and business owner has taught me the importance of perseverance, faith, and leading with heart. I value authenticity, accountability, and creating a legacy my children can be proud of. Whether in my business, my music, or my personal life, I strive to move with purpose and leave every space better than I found it.
