About Rajni

Rajni Raura serves as a sales executive at Abbott, leading a $150 million cardiovascular medical device portfolio and overseeing four strategic enterprise accounts, one of which is a top 10 health system in the country. With five years in her current role and more than 22 years of experience in corporate America spanning industries such as aviation, technology, telecommunications, and healthcare, she previously worked at Baylor Scott and White Health before transitioning to sales. Raura attributes her success to her passion, drive, and hunger, which she believes cannot be taught. She is a member of the American Heart Association and has earned recognition including the President's Club award in 2024 as the top performer nationally, consistent top three rankings at Abbott, and the Baylor Strategic Sourcing Excellence Award. She advises young women entering the field to be curious, lean in, and be bold, and she notes the importance of adapting to AI disruption in the industry.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Rajni

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to passion. All the other stuff can be taught, you know, you can learn different things, you can go to school for certain things, but that drive, that hunger, that passion, either somebody has it or it's just not something that can be taught.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

To be curious, and to lean in. My motto is always, like, if it doesn't scare you, you shouldn't do it. Men do such a better job vouching for themselves. A woman will read a job description and be like, oh, well, I meet 3 of those qualifications, but not all 5. My advice is, you know, lean in and be bold.

03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The disruption of AI and being able to be agile and adapt your own skill set. The jobs that are present today will not be present because AI's gonna be able to do them as quickly as the next 3 to 5 years. It's both a positive and a cautionary thing.
