							Ramona (Rodriguez) Haase is an accomplished computer networking professional with extensive experience in systems engineering, network administration, and data integration. She began her career at Amdahl Corporation, where she installed and tested Unix-based mainframe IBM-compatible systems, performing system-level integration testing and serving as a team facilitator and ISO-certified trainer. Her early work laid the foundation for her expertise in managing complex IT systems and supervising collaborative technical teams.
Following her tenure at Amdahl, Ramona joined Sun Microsystems as an IT Systems Engineering Technician. There, she integrated, configured, and debugged high-end supercomputer systems, overseeing networking I/O across multiple media and ensuring seamless system administration. In addition to her technical responsibilities, she excelled as a team facilitator, guiding colleagues and fostering collaboration within fast-paced engineering environments.
A graduate of DeVry Institute of Technology in Phoenix, Arizona, with an Associate of Science in Electronics and Communication Technology, Ramona also pursued advanced studies in computer network management at UCSC. I attribute my success to my confidence and strength, which have guided me through challenges and helped me build a successful career spanning over 20 years, including more than 14 years at my previous employer.

The best career advice I’ve ever received came from my dad: always keep your head held high.

One of the biggest challenges in my field right now is navigating a predominantly male-run industry.
