About Ramya
Ramya Madugula works in cybersecurity, focusing on vulnerability operations and product security. In her role, she leads vulnerability management for the company's largest on-market mobile application, handling incoming vulnerabilities by testing, documenting, and working with development teams to remediate them in future releases. She has been in this position for eight months since graduating with a computer science degree from the University of California, Riverside. During her undergraduate studies, Ramya participated in the Cyber Club at UCR, where she helped lead competitions such as CCDC and CPTC, and served as a board member of the Women in Computing club. She earned her CompTIA Security Plus certification and built a strong resume through extracurricular activities and projects, which led to her hiring at a Society of Women Engineers conference. Within her first eight months, Ramya was nominated for a department-wide company award after taking on the role of AI champion, driving transformations that improved efficiency by reducing manual tasks and allowing greater focus on remediation and code understanding. She also volunteers with the Send a Miracle non-profit, assisting with social media, events, and fundraising to support impoverished children in Guatemala.
