Her Interview
Ten minutes with Rana
01What do you attribute your success to?
I would say hard work and being well-supported. I have a great partner and my family. They really celebrate every win, even if it's super tiny, so it always keeps me on... pushes me to do more.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
My boss always saying that when we work... even in small tasks to always be mindful of what we're doing... to really do everything with ethics, in a mindful way, because everything we do has a consequence on our clients, on our colleagues...
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Just to be bold and to go for it. If they see an opportunity... just to say it and to go for it... women in the workplace... we put ourselves in second degrees, so just... if we have something on our mind, just to go for it. To say, if you have an idea, just to step up.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
A challenge is to really have a voice in a male-dominated field... when you speak up and show the value you can bring, you will be recognized... opportunities are that the field has a lot of different sectors... you can really change what you do, find what you like.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Integrity first, like honesty... kindness. Just being nice with people... to be a good team player... to be aware of the people around us, to be able to help.
