Her Story
About Randi
Randi Brammeier spent 15 years as a horse trainer and instructor, simultaneously offering dog training services, some of which involved preparing service dogs. Her approach often included providing free lessons or training to students facing medical issues, rough upbringings, or disabilities, such as an autistic student who transformed under her guidance and a woman with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome who regained mobility after interacting with her horse. With an education from the school of hard knocks, Randi has also trained balance dogs that helped keep her aunt mobile longer. In recent years, she has focused on assisting two Hispanic families dealing with citizenship challenges by securing medical care, including emergency surgery at UC Irvine, housing support, and meals. Based in La Habra, California, she draws from personal experiences overcoming disability to support others in her community.
