Randi Stone
Randi Stone is the founder and lead instructor at NYC Pilates, where she has spent over two decades helping women regain strength, confidence, and control over their bodies. After beginning Pilates in the 1990s to address muscular imbalances caused by scoliosis following back surgery, Randi pursued authentic Pilates training under Romana, a protégé of Joseph Pilates. Her dedication to holistic wellness and mindful movement led her to establish NYC Pilates, where she combines Pilates with specialized techniques to help women, from pre- and post-natal clients to professional athletes and corporate teams, achieve optimal physical health and balance.
A recognized pelvic floor expert, Randi’s personal journey with urinary incontinence after giving birth to twins inspired her to create effective, gentle methods for preventing and remediating incontinence. She has spent fifteen years studying, refining, and sharing these approaches with women, emphasizing exercises and strategies that restore freedom, confidence, and a life unrestricted by bladder concerns. Her work extends beyond physical fitness, incorporating mindfulness, stress reduction, and rehabilitation for diastasis, hip and pelvic pain, and other postnatal challenges.
Randi holds a Master’s degree in Urban Environmental Planning from the University of Virginia and a Bachelor’s in Environmental Policy from the University of Michigan. She is certified in Power Pilates Mat, pre- and post-natal fitness, and the M.E.L.T. Method®, as well as having studied Diastasis Rehabilitation with Julie Tupler. In addition to her studio work, she shares her expertise through media appearances, panel discussions, and publications, helping to elevate awareness of women’s health, pelvic wellness, and the transformative power of Pilates.
