Ranesha Cook
Ranesha (Nesha) the founder of Unbroken Resilience, a nonprofit organization. I am actively working to open, rooted in lived experience, purpose, and advocacy. As a survivor of sexual assault, I understand firsthand the silence, fear, and isolation that so many survivors carry. My journey has shaped my commitment to creating a space where survivors are seen, believed, supported, and empowered.
Unbroken Resilience was born from the belief that healing should never happen alone. The organization is designed to support survivors of sexual assault through trauma-informed resources, advocacy, education, and community-based support. At its core, the mission is to help survivors regain their voice, rebuild their sense of safety and strength, and know that their experiences matter.
I am building this nonprofit not only to provide support, but to stand as a voice for those who may not yet be able to speak for themselves. My work is driven by resilience, compassion, and the determination to break the silence surrounding sexual violence—transforming pain into purpose and empowering others to move forward with strength and dignity.
What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to determination, drive, and perseverance. Staying committed to my goals and pushing forward through challenges has allowed me to continue growing and achieving positive outcomes.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would encourage young women entering the industry to remember that timelines are not rules. There is no expiration date on growth, learning, or reinvention, and not everyone is meant to follow a traditional educational path. Your journey is valid, and you deserve the freedom to create a path that aligns with who you are—not who you’re told to be.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me in both my work and personal life are the belief that you can carve out your own path, along with precision, trust, and humanity—principles I carry into everything I do.
