About Rania
Dr. Rania Khalsi is an AI researcher, educator, trainer, and international speaker dedicated to advancing trustworthy and responsible artificial intelligence. Her work spans explainable AI, robust deep learning, computer vision, generative AI, cybersecurity, and AI education.
As an Affiliate Professor at Grand Valley State University, she teaches and mentors future technology leaders while continuing an active research agenda. She previously completed postdoctoral research in Artificial Intelligence and taught AI-related courses at the University of Michigan–Flint.
Originally from Tunisia, Dr. Khalsi is passionate about connecting research, education, and real-world impact. As an international woman in STEM and a mother of two, she is committed to empowering emerging talent, creating opportunities through education, and inspiring others to pursue ambitious goals with resilience and purpose.
Her mission is to help shape AI that is not only innovative, but also transparent, reliable, ethical, and beneficial to society.
