About Rashanda

She is an accomplished youth justice advocate, educator, and nonprofit leader with over eight years of experience in policy development, leadership training, and educational equity. She serves as Executive Director of Students for Educational Justice in New Haven, Connecticut, where she leads the organization's mission to empower young people and advance equity in education. She is also Manager of Education and Training at the Tow Youth Justice Institute, where she supports the state's Juvenile Justice Policy and Oversight Committee, designs and delivers leadership development and workforce training programs, facilitates faculty and subject matter experts in course delivery, advances experiential education opportunities for criminal justice students, and writes and reviews reports on youth justice reform. Her earlier career includes serving as an Educational Equity Philanthropy consultant at the William C. Graustein Memorial Fund, as an independent Legal Consultant and Grant Writer, and as a Social Justice Instructor at Capital Prep Harbor School. Her career reflects a deep commitment to youth justice, educational equity, and developing the next generation of advocates and leaders.
