Rashima Sonson

I’m an educator, entrepreneur, and curriculum designer passionate about building pathways between education, entrepreneurship, and real-world career opportunities.

Currently, I serve as Adjunct Faculty for Business & Digital Marketing at Merritt College, where I design and teach Zero Textbook Cost (ZTC) digital marketing courses that center on project-based learning and career-connected outcomes. I also collaborate with partners to support early-stage founders through entrepreneurship workshops and workforce development initiatives.

In parallel, I work as Lead Course Designer and Curriculum Developer at Leadership Public Schools, leading curriculum architecture for career and technical education pathways that include small business, e-commerce, UX/UI design, digital media, and entrepreneurship. My focus is creating learning experiences that connect students to real industry practices and future opportunities.

Outside the classroom, I am the Founder and Creative Director of SONSON, an award-winning accessories brand featured in publications such as Forbes, GQ, Vogue, HuffPost, and Essence. The brand has also received recognition from the National Retail Federation and the Council of Fashion Designers of America.

I also serve as a Board Member with the California Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians, part of the California Department of Consumer Affairs, contributing to regulatory oversight and professional standards in healthcare education and licensing.

My work focuses on equity in education, entrepreneurship, and workforce innovation—helping students, founders, and communities build sustainable economic futures.
