About Ratasha
I currently own an all-inclusive event venue in Sugar Land, Texas, where we host party packages for any type of event - weddings, birthday parties, baby showers, you name it, we cover it. I started by doing things for family and friends on the side, planning my sister's wedding and other family members' weddings, and I just really found that I had a niche for the decorating and entertainment industry, and that's what led me to want to start my own business on that path. I've been in this field for 10 years now. My main focus is all-inclusive event hosting, and on a day-to-day basis, I'm making sure we're up on marketing, doing personal in-person client tours, providing customer quotes and answering questions, and just highlighting our business. When we're not hosting events on the weekend, we're getting out there, meeting and touching more clients, bringing awareness to our location. What I'm most proud of is the customer service - making clients feel like they're not just being sold to, but they're coming and getting a real experience, making things one-stop shopping, very easy for them, so they're able to enjoy their special moments.

01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I've ever received is to build a team. Finding good people to help support your business is very important, and I've had to learn and am still always learning to grow that team and work on that part. You can't do it all by yourself - you're more mighty in numbers when you get the right group of people behind you. I would say building a good support team that believes in your vision is crucial to be able to execute and help bring that vision to life.
