Ten minutes with Raven
01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Don't chase the title, chase the opportunity. I took a lot of lateral moves at Home Depot wondering why aren't I becoming a manager. Everything is lateral, whether it's a senior analyst, whether it's a supervisor. So it was just so many lateral moves, but all of those six and a half years, every role that I received lateral made me the perfect candidate for my current career.
02What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
It is forever evolving. You could pour so many days into getting it set up but most people aren't aware we have many major events day after day so you're working on several events at one time. You just have to have attention to detail and sense of urgency because you can be a part of like 3 security meetings in 1 day for 3 different events and about three different promoters wanting three different things. There's no rinse and repeat when it comes to the arena.
