About Rayna

I am the National Support Services Director with the Hidden Genius Project, overseeing staff across national sites to provide holistic care and social-emotional support for young participants in technology, entrepreneurship, and leadership programs. With over 25 years across multiple sectors, I also serve as board president for Inspiring Communities focused on diabetes education, am a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, and commissioner on the Alameda County Human Relations Commission. I recently launched PopCards, a business combining event services with workforce training for young women.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Follow your heart and recognize that nonprofit work is your purpose, not just a job. It requires passion because you will be stretched beyond the typical 9 to 5, but when it aligns with your purpose, the long days feel rewarding rather than like work.
