Her Story
About Rebecca
Rebecca Dickens grew up homeschooled until high school, during which time her family started a bakery in 2017. This experience shifted her focus toward customer service, business operations, and entrepreneurship from a young age. She pursued dual enrollment at GTCC and attended High Point University as part of the LIFT fellowship for women trailblazers. In her senior year of high school, she wrote and self-published her book "How to Survive the Expectation of Greatness," which led to speaking engagements and an award. Today, she serves as Secretary on the board of the nonprofit Cultivating Entrepreneurial Opportunities, where she supports entrepreneurs through workshops and events in downtown Greensboro. She also holds a leadership role in her family bakery, managing hiring, training, and day-to-day operations. Her professional path reflects strong values of integrity, honesty, and dependability, instilled by her mother, alongside a passion for creative writing and community building.
