Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to empathy, strong communication, and a genuine commitment to supporting people. With over a decade of experience spanning healthcare operations and human resources, including roles as a medical assistant, operations manager in ABA therapy, and, for the past two years, Senior HR Manager at Spectrum Medical Partners, I have focused on building people-first HR teams that serve both clinical and administrative staff in complex healthcare environments. I believe HR should be approachable and solution-oriented, acting as a bridge between leadership and employees rather than a barrier. One of my proudest accomplishments has been revamping the HR function at Spectrum Medical Partners to improve communication and engagement across the organization, fostering trust and a culture-first approach. In my current role, I oversee provider and staff onboarding, new-hire orientation, employee relations, engagement surveys, and benefits administration, all while creating systems that support healthcare providers’ demanding schedules without compromising organizational connection.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received is to seek out advocates and mentors who genuinely support your growth rather than gatekeep opportunities. I have been fortunate to work with leaders and peers who encouraged my development and reinforced the importance of people-centered leadership, which has shaped the way I approach my own career and support others in theirs.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering this industry is to seek out mentors, advocate for yourself, and find leaders who genuinely want to see you succeed. Confidence grows when you surround yourself with people who champion your growth, and having that support can make all the difference in navigating your career and reaching your full potential.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in my field is engaging remote and hospital-based providers without overwhelming them, particularly in high-demand healthcare settings. At the same time, I see tremendous opportunity in leveraging creative communication strategies, culture-driven leadership, and HR teams that focus on building trust and engagement, not just enforcing policy, to foster long-term organizational success.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that matter most to me in both work and life are support, transparency, collaboration, and advocacy. I believe strong cultures are built when employees feel heard, valued, and genuinely supported, both professionally and personally. Outside of work, I enjoy playing with my 3 rescue dogs, volunteering at an animal shelter, spending time at the beach, traveling, and attending live music events. I am also a proud mother to my son, and an aunt to my nieces and nephew, roles that have deeply shaped my leadership approach, emphasizing accountability, compassion, and the responsibility leaders have to support others’ growth.
