About Rebecca
I help companies get their operations up and running, handling everything from policies and procedures to HR work and minimal financial tasks. Basically, I focus on getting the foundation set and laid so that companies can grow and scale effectively. I've been in the insurance industry for about 4 years, which started when a health insurance startup approached me to be a consultant and then hired me on as their Chief Operating Officer. Before that, I spent about a decade in real estate doing commercial development. Today, I'm back to doing business consulting, and I also do leadership coaching. My two biggest passions are business and helping people, and I've always enjoyed the health insurance space because it allows me to blend those two passions together. I've been leading teams since 2013, and my greatest accomplishment is leading teams. I call it 'leadership that multiplies,' which is all about building up strong leaders underneath you so it leaves a legacy.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I would say determination, definitely a passion for people, and leading with integrity has gotten me far. Those three things together have really been the foundation of my success throughout my career.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
One of the greatest pieces of advice I can give young women is to get themselves in rooms that they don't feel qualified for yet, because you will learn an awful lot in those rooms. Don't be intimidated by those opportunities. Putting yourself in situations where you're stretching beyond your current comfort zone is where the real growth happens.
