My claim to fame is when my son Jesse joined the Army I began sending him packages and then to his friends who weren't getting mail. After he was killed in Iraq on January 7th 2004 I continued sending packages which grew from one soldier to 100 names leading me to start a nonprofit. We sent over 60000 packages all over the world during the 10 years I ran it operating out of a former church youth building. I was an uneducated woman who barely got out of high school yet accomplished this and spoke to audiences was on TV and radio and even visited the White House three times meeting George Bush Jr.
