Her Interview
Ten minutes with Rebecca
01What do you attribute your success to?
I would say seeing how hard my parents worked when I was growing up. My mom was in school while raising us kids and also helping my dad get his citizenship. My dad's from Spain so she helped him get established out here. So for him as an immigrant that was a hard come-up for him. Next to nothing he came here on an agricultural visa. And also being raised on a farm too it's kind of everyday's work so we're little workhorses because of them.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
I had a mentor beginning of last year. It was like a CEO training. I think like a lot of her mantras were like there's like everything that you need to succeed is already within you. Just to dig your heels in and go for it. And don't be afraid to ask for help.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would say to try your best to not limit yourself. I've applied for roles that I did not think that I was qualified for. The worst they can tell you is no but in every no there's a lesson or redirection and just lean into that. And don't be afraid to ask for help.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Integrity. Because you'll never fail if that's at your core.
