About Rebecca
Rebecca Ryan serves as a Project Manager at Insight Enterprises, based in the Austin, Texas area. She began her career there in July 2022 as a consultant shortly after graduating from the University of Arizona, where she double majored in Marketing and Management Information Systems and joined the Zipperman Scholars club. Over the years, she advanced from Associate Consultant to Consultant 1 and then to Project Manager, drawing on her strengths in coordination and communication to manage large-scale technology projects. In her role, Rebecca oversees project financials, resource allocation, status meetings, and working sessions while ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. She has secured high client satisfaction, receiving multiple perfect 10 out of 10 feedback scores for her responsiveness and over-communication, and she works with notable clients such as Ulta Beauty, Carnival Cruise Line, and Disney Cruise Line on IT implementations. Rebecca values treating others with respect and maintaining a positive outlook, advice she extends to young women entering the male-dominated tech field.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
It is a very male-dominated field so being a woman in tech can sometimes be very daunting. Take people with a grain of salt and do not let emotions get in the way. Treat others how you want to be treated using the golden rule. Do not be scared even though surrounded by guys as it can make you stand out. Keep a smile on your face and remember it is a team effort so get back up after mistakes.
