Her Interview
Ten minutes with Rebecca
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to a combination of resilience, maturity, faith, family, and a commitment to personal growth. Experiencing injuries and difficult moments during my college career helped shape my perspective and develop the maturity that has carried into my professional life. My faith and family have also been foundational sources of strength and motivation. Beyond that, I strive to be the best version of myself, both in my role and throughout my career, while continually growing and giving my best to the work I do.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is to stand my ground, speak up when I have something valuable to contribute, and advocate for myself. I’ve learned that having confidence in my perspective and being willing to use my voice can create opportunities, strengthen my impact, and help ensure that my contributions are recognized.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering the industry is simple: go for it and believe that the sky is the limit. Continue to work hard, remain open to growth, and be willing to pursue opportunities even when they require you to step outside your comfort zone. There is so much opportunity available to those who are willing to work for it, believe in themselves, and have the determination to chase their goals.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest opportunities in my field is the ability to continue growing both personally and professionally while inspiring other women along the way. My goal is to grow my family, be the best mother I can be, and continue excelling in my professional endeavors, all while maintaining a sense of balance and being present enough to savor every moment.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me in both my work and personal life are authenticity, integrity, and staying true to myself. I do not want to be driven solely by a title or a number; instead, I want to remain grounded in who I am and let my actions and accomplishments speak for themselves. Ultimately, I believe that the outcomes I achieve reflect my character, values, and commitment to doing my best.
